LET

Teacher’s Board examination is more popular as Licensure Examination for Teachers. This examination given by the PRC- Board for Professional Teachers certifies a BS Education graduate a license to teach. The examination intends to test your ability to understand various educational theories of learning and how will you practically apply those information and learning if you are already in the teaching setup.

Bachelor of Elementary Education is a program specifically designed to teach all subjects the elementary level. This program starts from kindergarten up to grade six depending on the institution. Bachelor of Science in elementary education has 60 units of major subjects including English, Filipino, Math, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Values education, PEHM and Islamic Studies.

      Bachelor of Secondary Education prepares prospective teachers for teaching in secondary education (high school students) through courses in general education subjects and the practice of teaching.

What are the components of the examination?

The examination tests the competencies in 5 key areas: 

FILIPINO (15 %)

ENGLISH (25%)

MATHEMATICS (20%)

  • 4 fundamental operations for problem solving
  • Measurements and Units of measure
  • Number theory

NATURAL SCIENCES (20%)

  • Application of scientific knowledge in preservation of human life and conservation of earth’s resources
  • Application of scientific knowledge in improvement of human and socio- economic development
  • Identification of problem and solutions

SOCIAL SCIENCES (20 %)

  • Human rights
  • Moral education
  • Peace and global education
  • Economics
